I'm so happy we have another bank holiday weekend - thank you Royal Wedding and May Day!
I was really hoping to have a quick European getaway, hopping on the Eurostar to Paris, going for a romantic walk along the Seine, eating croissants in the Eiffel Tower gardens...
Alas, with it being a bank holiday the travel prices are so expensive! I've managed to squirrel a bit of money away by cutting back on my spending, taking on a few extra hours at work and managed to save quite a bit on one of those sites where you compare gas and electricity prices, but it just won't stretch to Paris and back.
So, I'm off for a British seaside adventure instead! Hopefully the weather will last over the weekend, but it'll be great just to get away for while - even if I do end up in a coastal cafe staring at the rain!
